James Pittman, Senior Editor

James S. Pittman is the Senior Editor of THE PITTMAN REPORT. He is a 36-year-career journalist who has been writing for newspapers since age 9.

Jamie is also an Eagle Scout, Brotherhood Member of the Order of the Arrow, and a District Scouter with the Texas Southwest Council, Boy Scouts of America. He has served various youth and adult leadership positions, served on staff at Camp Fawcett and Camp Sol Mayer, and as a member of the 2001 National Scout Jamboree Staff.

His publications have included: The Stanton Times, The Sulfur Bluff Newstory, The Horseshoe, San Angelo Echo-Editor, FYI Texas, San Angelo Freedom Flyer, The Buzz-Concho Valley, Angelo News Express and The Pittman Report.

He has also been featured in The Saddle n Spur, Breckenridge American, Lonestar Express, and the Tom Green County Republican Party Newsletter.

Among his journalistic accomplishments are interviewing Dr. Sergei Khruschev, son of former Soviet leader Nikita Khruschev, Gov. Rick Perry, Gov. Greg Abbott, former U.S. Sen. Phil Gramm, former U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, former U.S. Rep. Charles Stenholm, Dr. Ruth, and covering former President Bill Clinton in San Angelo.
